Kerry Cohen, PsyD, LPC*
I specialize in relationship and sex issues, including love, sex, and relationship addictions. My work is depth-based, meaning I believe people change through a combination of mindfulness, awareness, and a commitment to growth. I believe our relationships with other people provide valuable opportunities to become more authentically ourselves. I believe each of us is exactly where we need to be in order to grow. Finally, I believe that we live in a culture that misleads and sets us all up for failure when it comes to sex and love; and I believe that this unfortunate failure can be addressed through thoughtful counseling.
With my colleague Gillian Chachere, I provide an intensive form of integrative co-facilitated couples counseling in which we work individually with each member of a couple and then meet as a group for relationship work. We have found that this modality allows both individuals to deeply access their core wounds and then share with their partners in a way that grows intimacy, fosters better communication, and deepens connection.
